(If you’re wondering about the first word in the title, it’s the phonetic spelling for how my dad says the word “pictures.”)
We took about 1,000 pictures on our honeymoon (which was fantastic), and we’re expecting to receive about 800 pictures of the ceremony and reception from the wedding photographer any day now. It’ll take us a few days to sort through them, adding captions and deleting the less-than-flattering pics of ourselves though.

Some of you received this information today, but here it is for those whose e-mail address I don’t have.
Friday night: Drinkin’
We’re heading to the back bar of Old Ebbitt Grill—go through the restaurant and it’ll be on the left near the atrium. Margaret and I expect to be there around 10 p.m., but we have it on good authority that other people will be there around 9 p.m. Please join us for a drink. And if you’re looking for a place to eat Friday night, Old Ebbitt is a solid local restaurant (supposedly it was a favorite of Presidents Grant, Cleveland, Warren G. Harding, and Theodore Roosevelt).

Saturday morning: White House tour
The tour starts at 10:30 a.m., so if you submitted your information and are staying at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza, please meet me in the lobby at 10 a.m. and we will walk over together, all holding a large tow rope pre-school style so no one wanders into traffic (looking at you Axle).
For those of you staying elsewhere, please meet us at the visitor entrance on the south side of East Executive Avenue—a map is here—at 10:15 a.m.
Regulations for visiting the White House are on the National Park Service’s website.
Please review the list—notably cameras, bags, and pointed items are not allowed. Violating these rules gets you a visit to Gitmo, followed by a trip to Abu Ghrab, followed by a trip to Morgantown. Bring your photo ID, however, as the Secret Service will need to see it to verify that it’s done a background check on you.
As for what you can expect to see, the tour will be similar to what you might have seen if you toured the White House in times of yore (along the lines of what’s shown on the White House’s website). The building, however, has been closed to the general public for several years now—the closest mere commoners get to seeing the inside is the White House Visitors Center a few blocks away.
Saturday late night: Drinkin’
The reception ends at midnight—or after “American Pie” is played. We’ve reserved a bar at 14K, located in the Hamilton Crowne Plaza, for those of you interested in continuing to throw down. Margaret and I will be there.
If you have any questions, please call me—703.919.8018.

For some of you, this website looks fine. For others, it looks looked like a scrambled mess, similar to how old-school cable used to block the pay channels.
My bad.
I upgraded the blogging software, which was not compatible with the old theme. So I switched themes, but it doesn’t didn’t look right on all browsers.
I spent a good chunk of the weekend trying to fix it, but obviously to no avail it took me a a few days. If you encounter any problems, please let me know in the comments.
We’ll continue to update this site with information for the weekend, but new meet-a-wedding guest posts are on hiatus until I can debug the template.
Clearly we’re not going to get to all of the profiles of our wedding guests by next Saturday. For that we apologize. We will get to everybody in the next few weeks, however.
How can I get to the top of the list?
Do something stupid at the reception.
*had better attend (although the mustache is tentative)

Apparently finalizing the seating arrangements for the wedding reception in the same format as my fantasy-football draft is a non-starter.

We’ve written about the myriad of songs that we won’t have played at our wedding reception (see here and here).
I’m compiling the list of songs we do want to be played to send to the DJ, so now we’d like your input on what you would like to hear. Please post your suggestions in the comments section.
(The following people’s taste in music is so poor, however, that their input, while appreciated, will not be necessary: Fat Ben, Matt H., Keith, Liam, John H. The Fifth, James H., and Margaret. Magnus, you’re encouraged to make as many suggestions as you want. And, Pam N., we would like to have that song played too, but decorum prevents it.)
